Those signing events are loud af and usually it’s just everyone yelling their name over and over or ‘omg I love you’ so when someone says something different it can catch them off guard. My friend and I met Orlando Bloom like this once and she said ‘you are the reason why we are friends!’ Meaning that she and I bonded over our love of his character Legolas in middle school and he made the funniest ‘HUH’ face until he processed what we meant.
