The video was shot in Venice while Klementieff was shootingMission: Impossible 7with Pegg, Tom Cruise, and Rebecca Ferguson.

In a past interview, Pegg recalled how Venice was “virtually deserted,” so they decided to make the video called,Au Revoir, Chris Hemsworth. Simon Pegg explained how they made the song
In a part interview withCinemaBlend, Simon Pegg revealed that Venice was “virtually deserted” when they were shootingMission: Impossible 7. So, in their free time, Pegg and Klementieff decided to record the music video for their diss track. Pegg explained,
“With the pandemic being the way it was when we were shooting this one, our time in Italy was incredible because we were all in these bubbles, we spent all of our time with each other. The new cast members, we all bonded so quickly and so intensely. Having Venice to ourselves… we were in Venice when it was virtually deserted. To the point where myself and Pom Klementieff went off and made a little short film called ‘Au Revoir, Chris Hemsworth.’ It’s on YouTube. Check it out. Because we just had this beautiful Italian city to just have fun in. And we got shut down for 10 days because we had a COVID case in the crew. So yeah, so many memories, so many stories.”

The iconic diss track ended withcameos by Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, and Rebecca Ferguson as Klementieff sings, “One thing I’m certain of, and I’m sorry to break your heart, but my team is better than yours,” which is obviously an attack on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes: The Avengers.
