There are plenty of NPCs to discover inWuchang: Fallen Feathers, but a specific group of them belongs to what is called the Great Yonder Gang. This group is led by Shen Jing’an, a courageous young woman who wants to escape Cloudspire City and the rule of theMistress of the Night.
Wuchang Fallen Feathers: How To Beat Perfect Bride (Fang Ling)
No wedding vows needed for this one.
Shen Jing’an is the daughter of Shen Yanping, and is aided by her friends Glut and Matchstick. As such, this guide will focus on their combined questlines, but will mostly focus on Shen Jing’an, as she is the leader of the group and the main focus of the questline.
After helping them escape the city, you must bring them to safety by helping them leave this forsaken land. Let’s break this all down and seehow we can complete the Great Yonder Gang quest in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
Meeting Matchstick’s Grandmother
While this is not necessary to complete first, you will be passing through the area, so you should meet up with Matchstick’s grandmother in Mort Grottonear the Cloudspire Outskirts. To find her, you will need to first travel to the Snowy Passage Shrine.
From this Shrine, make your way forward as if you are going into the Cloudspire Outskirts. Instead of going through the door, stick to the right and go down the hill. Along the cliff face on your left, you will see a wooden platform that you can walk up to.
Make your way onto the wooden platform and interact with the rock wall that looks different from the rest of the cliff face. Matchstick’s grandma will answer you.Exhaust her dialogue to receive the Vitality Bowl.
Meeting the Great Yonder Gang
The Great Yonder Gang is a group of NPCs that you will only be able to meet if you complete the game in a specific way. When you reach the Cloudspire Outskirts and the Rebel Camp, it is important that you do not kill theGeneral of the North.
Instead, you will need to light all the pyres to open the way to Cloudspire City and only fight the Ming General.
If you defeat the General of the North before entering Cloudspire City, the Great Yonder Gang will all be dead except for Shen Jing’an, who will instead be crying and will refuse to speak to you.
The Great Yonder Gang is found in Cloudspire City. To locate them, start at the Cloudspire City Shrine and navigate through the buildings, until you reach the pathway that leads behind said buildings near the cliff face. Here, you will find two ladders.
Climb the ladders, and you will meet Shen Yanping, A.K.A. the Butler, at the top. Speak with him, and he will mention that the kids are in a nearby building. He will also tell you about a missing wedding dress that the kids have.
Instead of following the path up the stairs near Shen Yanping, go to the right and enter the building. Here, you will find Matchstick and Shen Jing’an. Speak to Shen Jing’an and agree to join the Great Yonder Gang. She will give you her hat for this.
Speak to Matchstick afterward, and he will give you the Celebration Emote. Give him the Vitality Bowl that his grandmother gave you earlier. This will cause him to cry, but he will begin talking later on.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: How To Beat Ming General - Liu Cheng’en
Get ready to eat some frostbite.
Return to Shen Jing’an, and she will tell you that her pal Glut left a while back. She will tell you that shewill give you the Wedding Dress if you go and retrieve him.Agree to this request, and be on your way.
Finding Glut and Getting the Wedding Dress
Your first task as part of the Great Yonder Gangis to track down Glut, who is somewhere in Cloudspire City.Luckily, he isn’t very far away. Start by going down the ladders you climbed to reach the Butler and Shen Jing’an.
Near the base of the bottom ladder, you will find a cave. Follow this cave to the other side, where you will find another section of Cloudspire City full of enemies and tents.
Inside one of the tents, you will find Glut. Speak with him, and he will ask you what he should be doing. Tell him that he should search for Shen Jing’an, as this will lead him back to the group and away from harm.
Return to Shen Jing’an, and she will give you the Wedding Attire. Now that you have this important item, bring it to Shen Yanping. He will tell you to bring it to Huang Yan at the top of Cloudspire City.
Returning the Wedding Attire and Mistress of the Night
With the Wedding Attire in your inventory, make your way to the top of the tower at the top of Cloudspire City. Here, you will find Huang Yan. This is the NPC version of the Mistress of the Night boss.
Give the Mistress of the Night the Wedding Attire. She will ask how you got it. You will need to respond withfeigned ignorance.
After the Wedding Attire has been returned, make your way below the tower to fight the Mistress of the Night boss. Once this is done, return to Shen Jing’an to let her know that the Mistress has been defeated.
The Great Yonder Gang at the Refugee Camp
After completing the Cloudspire section of the game, you will travel to Hillswatch and make your way to the Refugee Camp. Here, you will find the whole gang in the lower section of the camp.
Shen Jing’an will be crying over her father, the butler from earlier in the quest, who is sick. She will ask for your aid. Be sure to agree to help her in this area. You will need toobtain the True Origin Pillto help her father.
The True Origin Pillis obtained by defeating theSouth General boss in Zhenwu Temple.Once this has been accomplished, return to Shen Jing’an at the Refugee Camp and give her the pill. Return later to find that her father is feeling better.
It is at this point you will notice that Matchstick and Glut have both disappeared from the Refugee Camp.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: Nian Suichang Quest Guide
Nian Suichang plays a major role throughout Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and you get to assist him in becoming a mighty warrior.
Finding Matchstick and Glut’s Tokens
Travel to the Avian Marsh and climb the ladder that is next to the Shrine. This is a shortcut you unlock as you progress through the area. After climbing the ladder, go around the tree to your right to find a leech enemy.
Kill the leech enemy, and it will drop an item.Pick up the two items to obtain Glut’s Token and Matchstick’s Token.You will need these items for later, but for now, keep them in your inventory.
This step can be completed later after you meet Shen Jing’an and her father at the docks. I prefer to complete this step earlier so as not to forget about obtaining their tokens later in the game.
Meeting Shen Jing’an and Shen Yanping at the Ferry Overlook
Progress through Zhenwu Temple and defeat theFierce Tiger bossto get access to the path that leads to the ferry overlook. Make your way to the docks, and you will find Shen Jing’an and her father.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: Boy in the Jar Quest Guide
You may have happened across a Boy in a Jar in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Here is everything you need to know about his questline.
Shen Jing’an will tell you that Matchstick and Glut have disappeared, and they are waiting for them to return. Shen Yanping will tell you that you need to convince his daughter to leave. Agree to this.
Return with Matchstick’s and Glut’s tokens and give them both to Shen Jing’an. This will upset her, but she will be willing to leave knowing that her friends are dead.
At this point, you will need to reload the area and return to Shen Jing’an. She will ask you to come with them.Tell her that you have unfinished business.Reload the area again, and return to the spot where Shen Jing’an and her father were to receiveButler Shen’s Armor Set,ending the questline.
