Sweeney also made her superhero debut with Sony’sMadame Webearlier this year. The movie was a massive flop, and her journey as Spider-Woman /Julia Carpenter seems to have ended before it could even begin. But if recent rumors are true, then it is not the end of the road for Sweeney in the superhero realm.

According to industry scooperMyTimeToShineHello, rumors abound about Sweeney joining the MCU soon. And there are a few roles she could be cast into, with some being more realistic options than others.

Before she was revealed to be playing Spider-Woman in the SSU, fans were eager to see her in the role of Black Cat. Another recent rumor fromMyTimeToShineHellohas revealed a potential Disney+ show in production based on the character of Blonde Phantom, and who better than theEuphoriaactress to take on the role? While this is not the character most people would have imagined her to be playing, it could be the very best option Marvel Studios have on their hands. If you ask us, Sweeney playing a femme fatale in a red gown with a high side slit and a mask, and fighting criminals in the dark of the night, could become the next big thing. And she would surely do justice to the role.

Who Is Blonde Phantom?

Created by Stan Lee and Syd Shores, the character of Blonde Phantom made her debut inAll Select Comics #11back in 1946. She has been a part of the Marvel world since the Golden Age of Comics and has had a few iterations with time. Working as a secretary to a detective by day and a crime-fighting vigilante by night, Louise Grant transforms into Blonde Phantom to help her boss solve cases and save him from dangerous situations.

Louise Grant aka Blonde Phantom | The Sensational She-Hulk [Marvel Comics]Her story in the older comics is pretty similar to DC Comics’ Superman/Clark Kent trope. In a gender-reversed manner, Blonde Phantom is the superhero, who saves Mark Mason, her boss and the object of her affection, and someone she is in love with. But similar to the Lois Lane/Superman story from the initial days, Mason only has eyes for Blonde Phantom, but no affection for Louisa, his secretary.

Spider-Man 4: Sony Might Have Deliberately Made Sydney Sweeney’s MCU Debut Possible With 1 Minor Change Amid Ongoing Rumors

In the Modern Age comics, Louisa becomes Louise Grant Mason after marrying Mark Mason and has left her crime-fighting days behind. But after her husband’s death, she joins as a legal secretary to Blake Tower and Jennifer Walker, aka She-Hulk. We have already had a She-Hulk show, so adding a Blonde Phantom to the mix won’t be too far-fetched. Sydney Sweeney could be the perfect fit for the role and give us some grounded stories with a hint of humor and a lot of action.
