Six Major Mexico Grand Finale ends today with the end of this exciting week after all the matches played in group-stage and playoffs.
Finally, the time has come for the Six Major Mexico Grand Finale between Team Empire and Team One Esports. Both teams have gone through crazy situations during this tournament to reach this grand finale.
Team Empire started the tournament with a somehow weak performance by losing against Team Liquid at their first match, however, they managed to achieve important wins against TSM and Invictus and finished at the second spot of their group.
On the other hand, Team One Esports' qualifying for the playoffs was totally a miracle. In their final match against Cyclops, if they would lose only 3 rounds in the match, they would be eliminated from the tournament, but they managed to win Cyclos 7-2, which lead both teams to a tie-breaker map, where Team One won again and got the pass for Playoffs.
Both Team Empire and Team One showcased a strong performance against their opponents in the first round of the Playoffs. Team Empire managed to put SSG out of the tournament, while Team One defeated Dark Zero.
The semi-finals games for both teams were total madness. Team One Esports lost the first map against Team Liquid but secured the second one to lead things to the final map, where they beat Team Liquid 7-0 and made their way to the Grand Finale.
On the other hand, the same thing was about to happen for Team Empire. They lost the first map to Team BDS and won the second. In the final map, Team Empire was leading the match 6-1 and only needed one more round to finish the game, but Team BDS made an incredible comeback changing the scoreboard to 7-6 in their favor. However, it was Team Empire at the end who secured an 8-7 win in a crazy final round.
