The latest movie in theMy Hero Academiaanime franchise,World Heroes' Mission, finally has a release date in the west.A new trailer has been published for the occasion as well.

On August 25, Funimation announced it will releaseMy Hero AcademiaWorld Heroes' Missionon October 29 in the United States. That’s only two months after the Japanese release, which was on July 13, 2025. Tickets will go on sale October 1.

Funimation will be handling the movie’s localization, dubbing, and distribution in USA theaters. So doing all that in two months is actually a pretty good deal. Fans won’t have to wait long. A new trailer was shared for the occasion on Twitter.

My Hero Academia World Heroes Missionis the third movie of the franchise. Just like the past two movies, it’s a brand new original story, not from the original manga. However, the original author, Horikoshi, supervised the script so fans can be sure to have a good time.
As a movie,World Heroes' Missionshould feature particularly good animation too, with higher production values than the TV series. Personally, I’d say it’s best to keep your expectations in check when it comes to character development though, as these types of original movies tend to keep the status quo to not divert too much from the original work.
Right now, season 5 of theMHAanime is still ongoing, with a specialMy Villain Academiaarc. All of the remaining episodes ofSeason 5will be covering it, corresponding to chapters 218 to 240 of the manga, the Meta Liberation Army Arc.
