During their conversation, the host Jimmy Fallon, also asked Schumer if fans are going to see her doing stand-up anywhere anytime soon. Her last comedy special,Amy Schumer: Emergency Contact (2023),earned a Golden Globe nomination.
Schumer confessed it’s not easy for a standup comedian these days, as they are competing with the likes ofTaylor Swiftand Beyoncé forticket money.
“It’s hard to tour right now because who are we competing with? Who has been filling up our feeds? Beyoncé and Taylor Swift,”she said jokingly.“This is who I’m competing with. I love both of them. Did you see them in concert? I went. It is life-changing.”
Much to her delight, Fallon made her “dreams come true” by allowing her to do a set on his show. He also arranged for a team of backup dancers to make Schumer feel like a “star.”
