AHelldivers 2player has experienced a rare and rather bizarre glitch in which their ship has collided with a fellow player’s ship. But before you get your hopes up, no, there weren’t any gigantic explosions as the ships collided with one another.
If you’ve ever played Helldivers 2 before, you’ll be well aware that your ship is actually surrounded by a plethora of other ships as you prepare to dive into a planet’s atmosphere. Whilethere has been some discussionaround whether or not the surrounding ships are a live representation of other players on that specific planet, we like to think that they’re our fellow Helldivers supporting our attempt at liberating planets.

Fellow Helldivers, or just merely there for aesthetics, it doesn’t take away from the fact that we’ve never anticipated crashing into another ship whilst in space. Because why would we? Well, this player probably didn’t anticipate it either…but it happened.

Over on the Helldivers subreddit, a fellow Helldiver showed off a bizarre yet rather amusing glitch.The post, which is simply titled, “Collided with another ship,” includes a short clip of the player standing perfectly still on their ship as another ship orbiting a planet slowly starts to make its way toward the player.
The ship eventually ‘collides’ with the player’s ship, but the collision is rather anti-climactic as the two ships simply clip through each other. Still, it’s pretty funny to see and a very rare occurrence in the world of Helldivers 2.
At the time of writing this article, the post has well over 6,000 upvotes with fans mocking this hilarious glitch. “Would’ve been funny as hell, if there were another squad visible in the other ship. Awkwardly sliding past you, while ya’ll stare at each other and let it happen,“Reddit user Grunerrugsaid.While another Reddit user said, “I laughed as you just stood there as the engine engulfed you.”
Helldivers 2 is full of weird and wonderful glitches. One Helldiver even experienceda glitch where they were shot clean under the mapearlier today. But, unfortunately, the majority of the game’s glitches are usually game-breaking, so it’s nice to see one that’s more humourous than annoying.
