FromSoftware is all over the internet nowadays, and there’s a good reason behind it too; it is pretty much the definition of excellence. Ever since the release ofDemon Soulsback in 2009, they have released game after game that has only increased in quality. They have now even developed an open-world game without any hiccups withElden Ring. ButBloodborneremains their most remembered title to this day.

What’s next for Bloodborne?

It was a unique game without a doubt; for starters, it was a horror game with soulslike mechanics. Then it was a game that was a clear departure from their previously launched games in terms of combat and setting. Another thing that makes it unique from most of their games is that it was a PlayStation 4 exclusive and remains without a sequel to this day.

There’s a reason whyBloodbornecan never launch on Xbox consoles

Hidetaka Miyazaki is a very straightforward guy; he says it like it is. It has been seen in a number of interviews that all he cares about is making incredible games and nothing else. This is also evident in the fact that he has yet to make a game that is bad.

“The roots of my fantasy ideas…”: Not George R R Martin but 1 Other Famous Fantasy Writer Is to Thank for Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Bloodborne, Elden Ring, and Dark Souls Ideas

Ever sinceElden Ringlaunched and became a massive success, fans have taken it upon themselves to keep asking him aboutBloodborne 2. They just want to playBloodborne 2, and there’s no surprise in the fact that these queries regarding a sequel always end up reaching him.

He responds to these questions too, but he only says what he should or can. He makes it clear that the game is not going to happen just because he wants to. The reason being the fact that FromSoftware does not own this IP.BloodborneIP is owned by Sony; that’s why it was exclusive to the PlayStation 4.

The other thing that fans keep asking Hidetaka Miyazaki about is the Xbox port ofBloodborne. This game, as mentioned above, has been exclusive to the PlayStation 4 since its launch back in 2015. A number of gamers have requested that its game be made available for PC or even Xbox.

Hidetaka Miyazaki recently answered this querytoo. He opened up about this topic during a recent interview, where he explained that this port is not possible because it was on Sony to make that decision. And going by what Sony is doing nowadays, there’s more chance ofBloodbornecoming to PC than Xbox.

Bloodborne Hidetaka Miyazaki thoughts

“Unfortunately, and I’ve said this in other interviews, it’s not in my place to talk about Bloodborne specifically. We simply don’t own the IP at FromSoftware.”

This is a very blunt reply indeed, and there is nothing wrong with what he said. It’s pretty clear that Hidetaka Miyazakihas a great love forBloodborne, but if he and his studio do not have any ownership of this IP, then it makes sense that they have no authority to talk about it at all.

“I think I’d better pass on giving a straight answer”: Hidetaka Miyazaki May Be a Creative Genius with Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne, but he Does Fall Short in One Major Way

One thing they do own the IP for isElden Ring, and this game is getting all the support it can. FromSoftware is in the process of launching a DLC for this game, which will be released later this year.

What is FromSoftware going to do afterShadow of the Erdtree?

One question that is continuously lingering in the minds of FromSoftware fans is what they are planning post-Shadow of the Erdtree. They have not dropped even a single hint about their next title as of yet. It makes sense that they would want to focus on this upcoming expansion for now, but the suspense is literally keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

Nearly Ten Years On and Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Biggest Hope for Bloodborne is Still Ringing True

Rumors ofBloodborne 2or a remake are making the rounds on the internet. There’s no saying which one is true, but if a sequel is in the works, then it would no doubt be developed by FromSoftware.
