Fans Were Not Convinced With Pedro Pascal’s Casting As Reed Richards
It’s easy to see why many fans don’t want Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards. After they sawJohn Krasinski’s one-time cameo as the character in 2022’sDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, everyone thought he was going to be in it for the long haul.
Pedro Pascal Was Called Crazy For Challenging the Mandalorian Script Which Ended Up Being One of the Best Decisions of His Star Wars Journey
The Officestar seemed hesitant to commit to the role, and this paved the way for Pascal. Because the role would entail utmost dedication, it may hinder Krasinski from pursuing other projects given that he’s also a director and producer.
He also toldTheWrapthat “there aren’t any discussions at all” about his potential return. Many fans have expressed disappointment over this and with Pascal’s casting. Check out their tweets below:

the downgrade is massive manpic.twitter.com/IucY7QMn0a
The biggest disappointment of fantastic four casting. Pedro is great and all, but he doesn’t have Reed Richards vibe at all. Maybe his acting will make up for it. Marvel could’ve just stuck with John Krasinski instead. 😒https://t.co/YzUxzhr7kOpic.twitter.com/9MfPNxk0Wi
still can’t believe we’re not getting him as our main reed richards … we got pedro pascal 😭
Doesn’t mean we can’t discuss casting rolesPedro Pascal does not look like Reed Richards
When the f4 cast was revealed and ppl said they didn’t like pedro pascal as reed richards and other ppl started saying that “oh but he’s a good actor”. That don’t got nothing to do with it. He just doesn’t give reed richards vibes
With Joseph Quinn’s update on his costars, all fans can do for now is wait until the movie comes out and see if they have been proven wrong and that Pascal nailed his role as Reed Richards.
The Fantastic Fourhits cinemas on June 21, 2025.
