Back in 1989, Kevin Costner starred in an iconic drama film calledField of Dreams.With a man hearing voices and a diamond vision urging him to make a baseball field, the movie was, no doubt, greeted with love and open arms.

As per recent news, NBC was going to convert that film into a TV series that would have starred Andre Braugher and Nick Offerman in iconic roles! Well, sadly, the series was eventually canceled and the fans never got to know about it until today!

Mike Schur is an American television producer and writer known for creating some of the most iconic series of all time. Being the creator ofThe Good Place, Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine,and,The Office,Schur had quite the background for superhit sitcoms.

It was back in 2021 when NBC approached Schur in hopes of rebootingKevin Costner’s1989 filmField of Dreamsand turning it into a seven-episode miniseries. The idea was ultimately canceled but not without some casting details that were revealed. As per a post on X, Andre Braugher (Captain Raymond Holt fromB99) was going to portray James Earl Jones’s character (Terence Mann) from the original movie.

In 2021, Peacock hired writer/producer Mike Schur to create a seven-episode “Field of Dreams” reboot before it was eventually cancelled. 👀 The details:
