Marvel has finally made possible one of their most iconic reunions in the MCU, Loki and Thor. The chemistry between the characters is remarkable; both have gone a long way from where they began. The last time we spotted them together was inAvengers: Infinity Warwhen the God of Mischief faced his tragic end at the hands of the Mad Titan before his brother.

Since then, the two Norse brothers didn’t meet each other again. However, the animation has made it possible, which live-action couldn’t. Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston’s characters finally reunited inWhat If…? Season 2.

The MCU has gone very differently followingAvengers: Endgame. We were introduced to the concepts of Multiverse and Branched Timelines in the MCU. This also made Marvel explore the adventures of another version of Loki, who used the Space Stone to escape inAvengersand never got to face the events ofInfinity War.
Surprisingly, this Loki had a long and happening journey in the MCU and ultimately became the God of Stories. Now, fans are very excited to watch what unfolds when this God of Mischief reunites with his brother and how the latter feels about seeing his brother at the ultimate Throne of Multiverse. When will Loki and Thor reunite in MCU’s live-action?
The last time we spotted Loki and Thor together in the MCU was inAvengers: Infinity War.The God of Mischief promised,“I assure you, brother… the Sun will shine on us again”.However, the promise remains unfulfilled as the current 2012 version of Loki, who became the God of Stories, is yet to reunite with Thor.
This version of the God of Mischief is very different from what we saw inAvengers. He is no longer focused on conquering the Earth and is currently sitting on the throne of the Multiverse. Speaking about his possible reunion withComicBook,Loki Season 2‘s executive producer Kevin Wright said:
“That would always be my hope, is that somewhere, somewhere down the line, somebody gets to tell that story because [Loki’s] so different and because Thor is so different now, too. I think that’s what makes it interesting is, in my head — they’re weirdly different, but I think there would just be a deep internal understanding between the two of them. And I think it could be just something really beautiful and cool.”
