There’s a little over a week left until Season 5 kicks off inWarzoneandCold War. The teasers have already started over on Treyarch Studio’s social media accounts, but it looks like that wasn’t enough for fans asWarzoneSeason 5 leaks have revealed a new SMG, cover art, and a new operator.

When IsWarzone&Cold WarSeason 5?
An official release date for Season 5 has not been set by Treyarch Studios or Raven Software yet, but it will likely start on Thursday, August 12th. This is because the current Season 4 Battle Pass countdown is due to end on that week, and newCall of Dutyseasons always begin on a Thursday.
Fans can expect a brand new Battle Pass filled with new cosmetics, COD points and more. There are also plenty of rumors circulating that the official reveal ofCall of Duty: Vanguardwill take place inside ofWarzoneduring Season 5. This is expected to be similar to whenBlack Ops Cold Warwas revealed inWarzoneback in 2020.
Leaks Reveal Cover Art, Operator and New SMG
A new leak that originated on Reddit has revealed the cover art forWarzoneandCold WarSeason 5. Check out the tweet below, courtesy ofCallofDutyLeakz, to see the new cover art image.
Although CallofDutyLeakz noted that they cannot confirm the legitimacy of the leak, fellowCall of Dutyleaker and data minerNanikosrevealed that is in fact real.
The leaked image for Season 5 not only reveals a first look at a new Operator, but also the arrival of the Tec-9 SMG. A weapon that has never been seen in aCall of Dutygame before.
The arrival of the Tec-9 SMG would fit the storyline ofBlack Ops Cold Warperfectly as the real-life weapon was first produced in 1984. One question fans are sure to have though, will it become the new meta? We’ll have to wait for Season 5 ofWarzoneandCold Warto kick-off before we find out.
