As the hype continues to build for Season 5 ofWarzone, new details have emerged surrounding the upcoming event set to take place during the next season.
HeyImAlaix, a trustedCall of Dutyleaker within the community, has revealed that the Season 5 event could feature a modified version of Verdansk ‘84. So, if you weren’t already hyped for the next event, these details are sure to change your mind. Here’s what we know.
WarzoneSeason 5 Event Leaks Reveal “Modified” Verdansk
HeyImAlaix took to Twitter to reveal that an in-game file forWarzoneappears to show a possible modified version of Verdansk ‘84 with explosions. The game file in question is called “explosion mp_don4_x2_explosion”.
This might seem like gibberish to many, but Alaix broke down the name of the file to make it easier to understand. Of course, we can all understand the ‘explosion’ part of the file name, but mp_don4 is reportedly the name of the currentWarzonemap and x2 is the code for an event.
When you put those three things together, all signs point towards some sort of explosion happening in the nextWarzoneevent.
Alaix went on to reveal further game files that feature all of the currentWarzonevehicles with custom skins for the event, which will most likely be WWII themed as the Season 5 Event is rumored to be forCall of Duty: Vanguard.
What Is The Season 5 Event And When Is It?
It’s important to take leaks with a grain of salt, as nothing is confirmed until it comes from theCall of Dutyteam themselves. But one thing we can confirm is thatWarzoneSeason 5 will feature some sort of event, as revealed in the roadmap.
An exact release date or start time for the event hasn’t been revealed yet, but we do know it’s called ‘The Numbers’ and will take place mid-season 5.Reports suggestthat the event will be a reveal for the nextCall of Dutytitle,Vanguard.
With mostWarzoneseasons lasting approximately two months, fans can expect the mid-season update at around the one month mark. So if the upcoming event is set to take place mid-season, it might not arrive until late August or the beginning of September.

Season 5 will kick off in bothWarzoneandCold Waron Thursday, August 12th at 12AM ET / 5AM BST.
Fans will be able to download the update file roughly 24 hours before the new season goes live.
