UPDATE:It turns out that no official confirmation ofÂFinal Fantasy XIVon PS5 was made. A PR representative reached out to us after this story went live and gave us the following statement:

“While not a confirmation, Yoshida-san expressed a hope that FINAL FANTASY XIV Online may one day appear on the next generation of Sony console.”

So there you have it. While nothing has been confirmed just yet, it doesn’t appear outside the realm of possibility to one day seeÂFFXIVon the PS5.

During his elocution there, he most notably mentioned theFF XIVdevelopment team is working on a PS5 version ofFinal Fantasy XIV.
