Epic Games recentlyannounced their Epic Games Storeand that 88% percent of revenue will be going to developers. At The Game Awards last weekthe store officially launchedand more details were provided. Since then we’ve seen the upcomingSuper Meat Boy Foreverbeing madeexclusive to the Epic Games Store for a year.

Now, another title is heading to the Epic Games Store as Tripwire Interactive announced today that they’re starting a new partnership with Epic Games. This partnership will see the PC titleManeaterarriving exclusively to the Epic Games Store for a year. After those twelve months,Maneaterwill release on other PC platforms.

For those that don’t know whatManeateris, it puts players into the body of a shark in an RPG-themed world and wasannounced at E3 2018 earlier this year. And yes, you’re playing as a shark who hunts down the human that killed its mother. It’s an open-world and has been created in-house by Tripwire Interactive and in collaboration with creative leads at Blindside Interactive.

John Gibson, CEO at Tripwire Interactive commented on the partnership with Epic Games,

“From getting our start winning the first Epic Make Something Unreal modding contest in 2004 to having our game Maneater selected by Epic for the inaugural group of games to come to the new Epic Games store, Tripwire is excited to once again join Epic in forging this next chapter of gaming history.”

“Epicaredoing something unheard of for digital distribution platforms - they are taking risks by putting money back into the independent development ecosystem via funding some games. This allows developers to take bigger chances and make better games than they would be able to otherwise. That’s a win for everyone.”

Tripwire Interactive also announced that they’re working once again withKilling Floordirector Alex Quick, after having previously worked with him back in 2008.

Maneateris set to launch sometime in 2019 on PC and exclusively on the Epic Games Store for twelve months.
