Speaking to Gamespot,Jen Oneal the boss at Vicarious Visions clarified that there will be no microtransactions for the upcoming title that’s due to land on Xbox One, PS4, and PC exclusively for the Epic Games Store. “Everything that you see at launch is going to be unlocked with gameplay. We’re not planning on having monetization at launch,” she explained. However, while the game’s launch will be microtransactions free, Oneal says that Vicarious Visions might consider implementing microtransactions later down the road.

Additionally, post-launch may seeTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2getting cross-platform play. While this isn’t 100% confirmed, Oneal does say “When the time comes we will say more,” which could indicate that it’s a feature they’re looking into. Activision has already started introducing cross-platform play into other titles such asCall of Duty: Modern Warfareand also itsfree-to-play Battle Royale versionWarzone.

Player’s interested in grabbing the game can pre-order it, which will also grant them access to a pre-release demo set in the iconic warehouse level.
