2024 has been a weird year for movies and Hollywood. From average box office numbers (except some) to disappointing failures, Hollywood movies haven’t been able to hit that hard in theaters around the world.

Tom Cruise, who starred inMission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Oneback in 2023, is back for more action and stunts. With another sequel in theMission: Impossiblefranchise, Cruise might follow a mindless trend that has been grabbing people in theaters.
2 Stunts, 1 Bucket: The Trend That Tom Cruise Will Also Follow
2024 has been a disappointing year for Hollywood movies, but a great year for popcorn buckets! Starting with the Sandworm bucketthat was made available whenDune: Part Twowas released, popcorn buckets have been getting funnier and better with each movie released.
TheDunebucket made a lot of headlines since the shape of the bucket was… well, let’s just leave it at that. After becoming infamous withDune: Part Two, popcorn buckets were later created for the MCU filmDeadpool & Wolverine.

Featuring the mouth of Wolverine as its entrance, the popcorn bucket became the norm for these big-budget movies to create a more immersive experience. It seems that Tom Cruise might also be following along similar lines with his upcoming film.

Well, it seems that fans are of the opinion that this Hollywood theater trend is below veteran actor Tom Cruise’s standards and that he shouldn’t be following a trend just because it’s trending.
Is the mission to figure out how to get popcorn out of the thing, should you choose to accept it?

Wonder if it involves the plane stunt

However, Tom Cruise following this trend might be a good thing and a bad thing too. Not everyone needs to follow the trend of a popcorn bucket and on the other hand, it would be interesting to see what theMission: Impossiblefranchise can come up with.
Tom Cruise Follows The Trend of Stunts
From jumping off of planes to paragliding after riding a motorcycle, Tom Cruise is a madman when it comes to stunts and stuntwork. Having a penchant for doing all the stunts himself (which some might refer to as a “death wish”),Tom Cruise is a brave brave man. But more than that, he is a brave man who refuses to let anyone else get hurt.
It was 2018 when veteran actorsTom Cruiseand Henry Cavill joined forces forMission: Impossible – Fallout. The film featured both stars teaming up to stop a notorious act of war. What the film also featured were a lot of stunts for both Cavill and Cruise.
However, as perUSA Today, there was one stunt that Cavill wanted to perform quite badly alongside theJerry Maguirestar. According to Cavill, Tom Cruise straight up refused him because it was too risky.
This is one of the saddest tales of the movie for me — The day came and I was begging Tom: ‘I’m wearing a parachute, I’ve got some wind tunnel (training), surely I can just jump?’
Cruise replied,
I know exactly how you feel. I get it, you’ve done every single stunt in the movie so far, but this one I can’t let you do. It needs specific training.
So, not only is Cruise brave enough to do all these stunts, but the compassionate actor also doesn’t let anyone else get hurt while making a film. As for the popcorn bucket train, fans are guessing that it could be a car or a plane from the franchise.
