It has been a few months since the fiasco of Jonathan Majors was revealed to the public and the actor was removed from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kevin Feige faced immense pressure as Majors was going to portray the character of Kang the Conqueror.

With Majors departing from Marvel Studios, the hunt for a new actor or a new villain was on. Several speculations indicated that Doctor Doom could be the new big baddie. As per a recent report, however, Doctor Doom could potentially turn into a hero… in the future MCU!

Kevin Feige Knows That Doctor Doom Is A Terrifying Villain

In the comics, Doctor Doom has always been an arch nemesis of Reed Richards and The Fantastic Four. Occasionally fighting other heroes, Dr. Doom has come in contact with Black Panther, Spider-Man, and, the Avengers as well.

Being a terrifying villain, Doctor Doom has also been portrayed as somewhat of an anti-hero and has worked with heroes in the comics only if his goals aligned with them. However, the point stands that Doctor Doom is one of the most terrifying villains in Marvel Comics andKevin Feigeknows that.

Doctor Doom in Marvel Comics

“Maybe he was talking about Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man”: 1 Deleted Samuel L. Jackson Scene From Iron Man Proves Kevin Feige Wanted X-Men in MCU From the Beginning

In a recent report, insider Alex Perez talked about the future of villains in the MCU. FromThe Cosmic Circus, Perez stated that Doctor Doom will unfortunately be treated the same way as Loki in the MCU.

I really don’t think Doom will be the main villain in this Saga, given the little time we have to build him up. It would be a disservice to us, to the character, and quite frankly a waste.

The insider further stated,

Doom deserves better than 1 movie to set him up in a post-credit scene and then big bad for 2 movies and then be done with him. Plus, I’ve heard they’re treating Doom similar to how they’ve handled Loki in the Infinity Saga.

“Iron Man is almost a fast and loose indie movie”: The Man Behind The Boys’ Success Points Out Kevin Feige’s Mistakes With Recent Marvel Movies

To jog your memory a bit, Loki was also a villain inThorand laterThe Avengers. When Hulk put some sense into him by smashing him around, Loki became an anti-hero and eventually, a full-fledged hero.

Although it cannot be said that Alex Perez means that Doctor Doom will also become a hero, his statements are indeed concerning. Fans around the world seem to agree and state that Dr. Doom should not become a hero in the MCU.

Fans Do Not Want To See A Happy Doctor Doom!

Well, one doesn’t need to think much about seeing a happy Doctor Doom who is on the good side of heroes to know that that would be a terrible idea. Being the chaotic and all-powerful villain that he is, Perez’s comments could literally mean that he would become like Loki and be a good guy!

That would be like the Disneyfication of Doctor Doom. And although there is a 99% chance that it won’t happen, fans are still worried about it. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), people talked about the possibility of Doctor Doom being more like Lokie in the MCU.

So they gonna make one of the most notorious and menacing villains a hero and soft… got it

— JAM (@JAMANDJAMMIN)June 26, 2025

I hope not, this man ain’t Loki. He’s 1000000 times worse

— If_Yousayso (@Ifyousay_so)July 19, 2025

So Doom will be the villain in two movies; the reluctant hero in two movies; and then die quickly at the start of the closing event with a cameo near the end of it.

Not a waste at all.

That’s not good, they ruined Loki after Avengers 1. Let the villains be villains!

— CrimsonComet41 (@rosalita1973)July 21, 2025

No way, Loki was defeated by only 6 heros and then became good, I want Doom to be comic accurate and be a bigger threat than Thanos and Kang.

— Vishin Singh (@VishinSingh)August 05, 2025

I’m not mad at that but don’t make him weak & shit

— obito uchiha (@justin_bobbii)July 17, 2025

Well, the answer seems pretty clear that fans do not want a hint of goodness in Doctor Doom’s mind if he were to ever be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although the comments were made by an insider, there is still no way to confirm or deny these statements.

Kevin Feige’s Original Endgame Plan Would Have Tarnished Robert Downey Jr.’s Farewell From MCU

On the other hand, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently busy in preparations for welcoming the X-Men with their upcoming film. Starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman,Deadpool & Wolverinewill make the two worlds collide and wreak havoc across the MCU and fans are ready for it.

Deadpool & Wolverineis set for a release date of 09 July 2025 in theaters across the U.S.
