Sons of Anarchymay have taken fans by storm when it premiered in 2008. However, it was not just the fans who were deeply affected by the show. In fact, the lead actor Charlie Hunnam ended up skyrocketing to fame, thanks to the series. While the actor rode many highs with the show, he wound up having a weird dynamic with one of his fellow co-stars, Ron Perlman.

Although they had spent time together on the FX show, it was not until their reunion on Pacific Rim that Hunnam noticed that their dynamic had shifted into one that reflected their former characters, Jax Teller and Clay Morrow, in the series.
Charlie Hunnam opens up about his On-Set dynamics With Ron Perlman
For years, fans got to watchCharlie Hunnam’son-screen relationship withRon PerlmaninSons of Anarchy. With their relationship being one of the most compelling dynamics in the show, it is no surprise that it captivated the whole world. However, their alleged toxic behavior ended up spreading past their time on screen. In an interview withElle Canada, after the show ended, the 44-year-old actor opened up about how he noticed the changes.
We all loved that world and loved these guys and invested in it so deeply that we sort of made it real for each other. Some of those dynamics – it’s sort of silly from the outside, and it’s sort of silly to talk about, but the reality of it – like those dynamics became so real for us, they bled into real life.

Hunnam explained what he meant by saying,“Like my relationship with Ron Perlman, for no good reason, got very, very contentious.”He even went on to add,“We gave each other a wide berth because we’re both professionals and we’re both gentlemen so we’re not going to sit down and argue every day, but it got really weird between us.”After all, both the stars had to play characters with rather big personalities in the biker series.

I decided as difficult as it was going to be, I wasn’t going to talk with him, not even say good morning to him and not tell him why I was doing it. I just hoped he would understand, to know that it was just about work and that it wasn’t anything personal.

Although Hunnam’s active decision to avoid Perlman may have worked in his favor, he forgot to do one thing; let his co-star know what was happening. Instead, the 44-year-old chose to keep it to himself. That was untiltheHell Boyactor found out his reasoning through another interview that he had come across.
