The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, the animated series that wasfinally confirmedto be heading to Netflix, has itsown Netflix pagenow. Interestingly enough, the official synopsis focuses on Vesemir: “Long before mentoring Geralt, Vesemir begins his own journey as a witcher after the mysterious Deglan claims him through the Law of Surprise.”

Vesemir was the oldest and most experienced witcher at Kaer Morhen in the 13th century and acted as a father figure to Geralt and the other witchers. He was one of the few members of the School of the Wolf to survive the assault on Kaer Morhen. Needless to say, he plays an incredibly important figure in the lore. It’s nice to see that he’ll have more focus through this series.

In charge of the animated series is theWitcherteam Lauren S. Hissrich and Beau DeMayo. Animating the show itself is Studio Mir, behindLegend of KorraandVoltron: Legendary Defender.
