For every controversial event that leaves a mark on our society, ample circumstantial evidence or a case of reasonable doubt has given birth to conspiracy theories. According to Zachary Levi, the primary conspiracy theory surrounding the disgraced public figure Jeffrey Epstein has been centered around his death or… the lack of evidence thereof.
Although conspiracy theorists often like to defy all logic to root their ideas in pseudo-facts, the “Jeffrey Epstein is alive” theory does not sound as far-fetched as “the Earth is flat.” Even though on a scale of benign to malevolent, Epstein’s existence would certainly lean toward the more evil side of things, there is no stopping people from cooking up conspiracy theories to feed their curiosity.

However, as the clock turned and time exposed the actor’s far-right political leanings, fans were ready to call him out on his views and support for Donald Trump.
Soon enough, Levi’s name began popping up in all the wrong circles, essentially earning him a blacklisted mark in Hollywood. In a recent podcast,The George Janko Show, the actor even went on air to add more fuel to the fire by giving voice to a conspiracy theory claiming Jeffrey Epstein might still be alive.

While such a claim is not conducive to the American legal system or its professional working-class people who were involved in handling the matter, the conspiracy theory also helps in highlighting the numerous loopholes that do exist in the events surrounding the aftermath of the sex offender’s alleged suicide.

The notorious, well-established, and connected financier Jeffrey Epstein began in a modest profession as a teacher, later giving way to bigger ambition as a financier with a lot of fingers in a lot of pies. Although thriving and flourishing in his business, Epstein began collecting the favor of celebrities and public figures with his criminal side enterprise as a sex trafficker.
Alongside Ghislaine Maxwell, the pair racked up a horrendous array of crimes that would make even the most apathetic person falter. His arrest and death in August 2019 at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, New York, disbanded his criminal network and laid waste to his vast syndicate. However, for a figure as powerful as Epstein, a simple death seems too difficult to digest.

As narrated by Zachary Levi and George Janko on the aforementioned podcast, the conspiracy theory follows the timeline and events surrounding Epstein’s death and claims that the notorious child sex offender may still be alive:
Epstein and Diddy both – those were blackmail rings. That’s literally what was going on. They were videoing everybody, getting incriminating evidence on people so they could then hold them hostage in doing various things. I don’t know that he is [dead] either.
The host of the podcast then goes on to detail every excruciating fact surrounding the case of Epstein’s arrest and his sudden suspicious death:
You’re telling me that the most powerful man at that time that fooled colleges, fooled the most powerful people, had an island, had tapes, and he was with the most influential people in the world – you think he didn’t get prepared to get locked up? You don’t think he goes… every minute that I’m not out of here, I’m gonna release [incriminating evidence on people].
The duo then also went on to agree on the fact that the events surrounding his death didn’t add up. Levi went on to state:“The whole thing was so sketchball. The cameras weren’t working, the 2 guards who were supposed to be there all night just happened to take a break during that time. It’s so suspect.”
Although the official reports state beyond doubt that Jeffrey Epstein is dead, conspiracy theories will keep lingering in people’s minds as long as the subject fascinates and feeds into their imagination.
