The increasing number of reports on a Returnal bug that has the players stuck in a room locked from the other side hints at a worrying issue that needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
Rogue-like games are mostly tough to beat, and players don’t want anything unfair to interrupt their progression other than the game’s own challenges. As a result, the bugs and glitches that can ruin the experience are extremely unwelcoming and annoying in the titles of this genre.
Now, a considerable number of reports onReddithints at a bug in Returnal that could get you locked down in a room with no way to get out other than restarting the game, which simply means losing a major part of your progression in the game.
While the developers behind the game have not reacted to the matter yet, players are assuming the bug has something to do with the game’s deluxe edition and the exclusive in-game suits of Selene.
How to Fix the Returnal “Stuck-in-Room” Bug
Currently, there’s no way to fix the issue. If you are stuck in the room, we are sorry to say that you have no way to get rid of the bug right now other than restarting your run.
That being said, the community has a suggestion to stop getting stuck in the same room for another time. According to the Reddit players, you’d better take off your exclusive suits and use Selene’s default suit for the time being as it seems to be an issue with the paid suits of the protagonist.
However, there’s no guarantee to the suggestion above. You might get stuck in the infamous room with the default suit as well.
The best you can do is to stop playing the game until an official reaction or update deploys from Housemarque Games. However, if you are looking into upgrading your character’s skills, you can continue playing as you won’t lose them even with restarting your run.
