In a post on thePlayStation Blog,Abzudeveloper Giant Squid has confirmedThe Pathlesswill launch on November 12 as a PlayStation 5 launch title, as well as the PlayStation 4.
“I’m excited to announce that you will be able to playThe Pathlesson your new PlayStation 5 the minute you get your hands on it,” said Matt Nava, creative director at Giant Squid. “That’s right, The Pathless will be available on November 12 as a PlayStation 5 launch title! You’ll be able to enjoy the game’s gorgeous open world and fast, fluid movement in 60 fps on PS5 while also feeling the force of every arrow shot with the DualSense controller’s haptic trigger effects.”
For those that don’t know,The Pathlessis a third-person action game where you play as an archer exploring a vast forest with the help of your trusty eagle. One interesting detail from the blog post is the game doesn’t feature an in-game map. Nava points out they worked hard to make each building and area stand out. Additionally, there will be plenty of secrets to uncover along the way.
“Here at Giant Squid, we’ve been busy the last few months putting the finishing touches on the world of The Pathless,” continues Nava. “Every corner of the huge open world is handcrafted to provide a truly rewarding exploratory experience.”
The Pathlesswas announced duringthe 2018 The Game Awards. Back in August, we got another look at the game duringPlayStation’s State of Play showcase. This is the latest game from Giant Squid, which debuted withAbzuin 2016. LikeAbzu,The Pathlesswill also feature a score byJourneycomposer Austin Wintory. In addition to the game, other PS5 launch titles includeSpider-Man: Miles Morales,Demon’s Souls, andAssassin’s Creed Valhalla.
