One Piecehas several characters who have strong control over their Haki. They have trained hard and made a name for themselves as fearsome pirates. However, only a few have been able to cross the limit of a bounty of one billion berries. Two of them happen to be Eustass Captain Kid and Trafalgar D. Water Law.
They allied with the Straw Hat Pirates to defeat Kaido and Big Mom. The Wano arc showcased the three pirates from the Worst Generation reaching a bounty of 3 Billion Berries. Even after having the same feat, Eustass Kid is a hated character in theOne Piececommunity, and Trafalgar Law is loved by all. They are showing their biases in broad daylight.
Trafalgar D. Water Law’s Feats Make Him More Loved Than Eustass Kid
Trafalgar D. Water Law and Eustass Kid have always been compared to Monkey D. Luffy since their partnership in the Sabaody Archipelago. While Luffy is the protagonist, there is always a competition between the other two among the fans. Law has always been loved by the fans, while Kid was on the opposite end. If someone were to compare their characters, they would find their journey to be quite similar. Kid lost his hand to Benn Beckman, and Law lost it to Donquixote Doflamingo.

After the Wano arc, they suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Shanks and Blackbeard, and their Road Poneglyphs were stolen.
Even though their journey seems similar, fans will see a different psychology if they go further into these characters. Trafalgar Law’s backstory helped the character develop throughout the plot. He held a grudge against Doflamingo and wanted to avenge Corazon and willingly accepted his defeat to Basil Hawkins to save his crewmates’ lives. He helped Luffy in freeing the children on Punk Hazard. As for fightingBlackbeard, he was ambushed by the Yonko.

On the other hand,Eustass Kiddid everything out of pride. He was overconfident and selfish from the beginning. He slaughtered helpless people to quickly rise through the ranks and had a better bounty than Monkey D. Luffy. His pride blinded him, and he attacked Shanks after entering the New World. Even though he had Conqueror’s Haki, he lacked experience and attacked Kaido. Moreover, Kid never had character development like Law.

Trafalgar D. Water Lawwas ambushed by Blackbeard, who destroyed his ship and dealt a crushing defeat. Since then, there has been no news about the Surgeon of Death. On the other hand, Kid’s pride made him take up arms against the Red-Haired Pirates again. He would have dealt a massive blow to the Yonko crew if not forShanks’ Advanced Observation Haki. Shanks saw the future, and before Kid could strike, he used Divine Departure to destroy Victoria Punk.
