The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 1 Recap

The episode opened with Armorer and the group of Mandalorians having a ceremony to introduce a child into the tribe. But, they were attacked by a Dinosaur Turtle amid the celebration. Mandalorians fought back, but the enemy was too strong for them. Soon, Din Djarin arrived and killed the monster using his starfighter. He then revealed that Grogu had decided to stay with him. The Armorer stated that Djarin would become a Mandalorian again if the Mandalore mines still existed.

Djarin then traveled to Nevarro to meet the high magistrate, Greef Karga. The former helped the latter in stopping a Vane’s pirate group held responsible for attacking citizens and intruding on schools in Nevarro. Impressed, Greef Kage offered Djarin the position of marshal; however, the latter refused and revealed that he was there to build IG-11 again. Djarin successfully rebuilt IG-11, but it was set to its original unfriendly programming.

Upon suggesting some Anzellan mechanics, he learned that he would need a new memory core to change its programming. Djarin left Nevarro, but soon his ship was attacked by Gorian Shard, Vane’s superior. Djarin managed to destroy a few of their fighters and leave the place. Later he met Bo-Katen, who revealed that she had dropped her plans to reclaim Mandalore after losing against Darksaberand suggested he travel alone.
