15The Fire Temple
The Fire Templeis where you will need to go to help the Gorons deal with their Regional Phenomenon. Deep within The Depths under Death Mountain, you will find an abandoned Temple that holds some clues to the Goron’s plight.
What makes the Fire Temple so unique is that it is the only main Temple (not counting the Spirit Temple) that is located in The Depths. This Temple is also a throwback to some of the older Zelda dungeons that fans are used to.
14The Spirit Temple
The Spirit Temple is where Mineru will take you to retrieve her Secret Stone. Here, she left a Construct behind in case she needed a body to return to. When she and Link venture into the Temple, they are shocked to learn what has become of that Construct.
What makes the Spirit Temple special is that it is a hidden fifth Temple. By the time you have completed the other four, you assume you are finished with the game other than defeating Ganon. However, you still need to go to this mysterious place and look for a way to truly rid the world of Ganon.
13Abandoned Mines
Abandoned Mines are scattered all over The Depths. These are areas that the Ancient Zonai people built in order to traverse The Depths and successfully mine forZonaite. You can find one under all the major cities and villages in the game.
What makes these places so special is that they offer the player a glimpse into the past. While players learned of the Zonai in the last game, they didn’t truly understand who they were. Since this game is built around the Zonai, these mines help show the scope of their Kingdom.
12Yiga Clan Hideouts
Once you enter into The Depths, you will quickly learn that there are Yiga Clan Hideouts all over the place. When you defeated the Yiga’s leader in the last game, he fell into a chasm leading into The Depths. Now, they are working to help Ganon destroy Link.
The Yiga Clan Hideouts are special for several reasons. First, it is pretty cool to see all the hard work and dedication the Yiga Clan put into these hideouts in the short amount of time between games. Additionally, you can find Schematics for your Autobuild at these hideouts.
11Below Hyrule Castle
If you have beaten the game, you know that there is a chasm below Hyrule Castle. This is where Ganon flees to after you defeat him for the first time. He is able to get to the deepest parts of The Depths and build an army.
What makes this place so interesting is the sheer size of the area. While it looks small on the map, the area goes deep into The Depths and is the deepest area you can go in The Depths. Along the way, you will see remnants of old castles, leading you to wonder what may have been there.
10The Construct Factory
The Construct Factory is an area that you will come across during yourhunt for the fifth Sage. During this quest, you learn that Mineru, the final Sage, has constructed a construct that is still in The Depths. This construct will allow her to take a form while helping Link in his fight against Ganon.
What makes this place so special is that it is the place Mineru chose to keep her construct. This means that this area must’ve been of importance to the Zonai people. It also means that it held significance to her. The area is a massive mine-like structure that is an impressive shape and size. It is directly below the Popla Foothills, near the Spring of Courage.
9The Cliff Bargainer Statue
Bargainer Statues are new entities introduced in this game. They helpPoe, the spirits of those long gone, depart from this world. This job makes these entities extremely interesting and mysterious. In addition to this, they are located directly below prominent Goddess Statues, leaving players to wonder whether the two are related.
What makes this Bargainer Statue stick out is the fact that you can see its entire body. With other Bargainer Statues, you can only see their head. However, this one has its entire body free, showing that these are massive statues that have been mostly covered up. This adds to the mysteriousness of the entities. This one is directly below the Goddess Statue in the Forgotten Temple.
8The Labyrinths
There are three labyrinths around Hyrule, North Lomei, South Lomei, and Lomei Labyrinth. While these labyrinths were in the last game, their Depths and Sky Island counterparts were not within the game. These giant labyrinths hold secret trials from Rauru, the first king of Hyrule.
What makes these areas special is that they add another layer to the lore surrounding the known labyrinths on the surface level. In this game, Link can obtain theEvil Spirit Armorfor completing each of the three labyrinths, making the areas even more enticing.
7The Coliseums
There are six differentColiseums in The Depths. In these Coliseums, players are forced to face up against mobs of different enemy types depending on which Coliseum they are in. They can be found throughout The Depths below prominent areas and offer Link a chance to hone his skills.
While these Coliseums are important because they give Link amazing rewards, that isn’t the only reason they are interesting. What truly makes them interesting is their purpose. Fans have tried to theorize why the Coliseums are there. While the one under the Lost Woods in run by the Yiga Clan, the others don’t seem to be run by anyone. This mystery makes them worth checking out.
6The Akkala House of Bones
This area is an extremely interesting area that is easy to miss in a playthrough. The Akkala House of Bones is an area that seems to be made up of bones of some kind. Inside the center of it lies several skeletal mobs and then a Stalnox.

What makes this area so interesting is that it makes players stop and think. Why is there a giant area made of bones in The Depths? What could the bones be from? Why are they only in this area? The mystery behind it is interesting. Not only that, but it is a pretty cool area.
