Bryan Cranston found worldwide fame and love when he portrayed the character of Walter White in the iconic AMC showBreaking Bad.Despite being an iconic character, Walter White’s life was short-lived (kind of).

However, when the opportunity struck, Bryan Cranston was asked to reprise his role as Walter White in a certain commercial. Cranston had a very strong reason to return to the role alongside the entire crew ofBreaking Bad.

Walter White, a chemistry teacher gets diagnosed with cancer and his life turns upside-down. Teaming up with Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman to sell methamphetamine and raise money for his treatment, Walter White gets into a life of drugs, crime, and, murder.
Although White had enough money to get his treatment done, he was too busy shooting enemies and making meth for Gus Fring and other drug lords. According to Cranston, it wasWalter White’s ego that got the better of him.

The season finale (aptly titledFelina) showed Walter White struggling to walk with bullet holes in his body. He puts his bloody hand on a cylinder for support and collapses on the ground while his blood surrounds him. The grim end of Walter White was also a conclusion forBreaking Bad.

However, the character was so loved by millions of fans worldwide that they hoped that White would somehow return. Well,Bryan Cranstonalongside Aaron Paul was called to reprise their role for a Superbowl commercial.
Walter White And Jesse Pinkmak Returned For A Superbowl Commercial
Starring in The PopCorners commercial, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman returned alongside series creator and director Vince Gilligan for an ad during the Superbowl.
In an interview withVanity Fair, Bryan Cranston revealed that he had one very strong reason for wanting to return to his iconic role. SinceBreaking Badwas a very serious and demanding show, Cranston wanted to simply joke around with his cast and crew mates.

This chance was offered for the shooting of the Superbowl ad and Cranston gladly returned to the role after some consideration.
The PopCorners commercial thatAaron Pauland I did—at first, they’re like, “We want you to do that.” I go, “Well, I don’t know. What is it you want?” And they pitched us the idea.

He further continued,
When we were doing the show for those seven years, there weren’t a lot of times that we’re actually having fun and laughing during the process.” It was a very serious show and a very draining and demanding show. I said, “Would it be fun if we can get everybody back together and just have fun and laugh and goof around?”

Series creator and director Vince Gilligan also returned to helm the project in his director chair while almost all of the cast and crew members ofBreaking Badreunited for a fun time.

This was the only reason that Cranston agreed to do the commercial and return back to the role of Walter White. The iconic show received a rating of 9.5/10 on IMDB and a whopping 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
