Being a successful woman is, unfortunately, an invitation for scrutiny, and it is no different for Bieber either. Many have often wondered if she underwent surgery to enhance her facial features, and Dr. Daniel Barrett did the same. Only this time, she did not let him off the hook easily.
Barrett is a surgeon practicing in Beverly Hills. In 2020, he found himself embroiled in a legal battle with Bieber over a TikTok video, insinuating that the model underwent plastic surgery. The video in question showed side-by-side photos of Bieber, claiming that she had undergone a few procedures. He further implied that she got a rhinoplasty because“That doesn’t happen from puberty or growing,”(via The Independent).
Bieber did not take kindly to Barrett’s video. Her legal team sent him a cease-and-desist notice, whichE! Newsmanaged to get a copy of. The notice claimed that the doctor used Bieber’s“likeness”to spread false information about her.

“These flagrant and conscious infringements of our Clients’ rights constitute a number of violations including, without limitation: misappropriation of name, likeness, image and persona for commercial purposes, misrepresentation, defamation, slander, false light, violation of rights of publicity, copyright infringement, trademark and service mark infringement, unfair competition, dilution, and interference with our Clients’ contractual obligations to third parties,”read a portion of the notice.
Following the legal notice, Dr. Barrett toldTMZthat he used his social media platforms to spread awareness about plastic surgery. He added that he was taken aback that they would threaten to sue him over the situation. Bieber’s seemingly harsh decision came after a series of accounts shared her supposed transformation photos.

It is very easy to manipulate and share photos of celebrities on social media, which happened with Beiber. An account made specifically to promote beauty and wellness shared a supposed transformation photo of the model. Biebertook to Instagramto put them in their place, and the post was deleted.
“Stop using pics that are edited by makeup artists! This photo on the right is NOT what I look like … I’ve never touched my face so if you’re gonna sit around and compare me at 13, and then me at 23, at least use a natural photo that wasn’t edited so crazy,”she commented.
Hailey Bieber has often spoken about her skincare, and she is aware of how several factors play a role in looking nearly flawless. The model has always been open about it, and it seems unlikely to change any time soon.
