How To Start The Beast And The Princess
You will start this quest after agreeing to meet Penn at the various Stables in the gameas part of Potential Princess Sightings! quest, and you won’t be far off from when you start that quest.
If you head to theNew Serenne Stable, which is probably the first Stable you came across in the game, you canspeak with Pennthere. He will tell you about how there are stories going around of Princess Zelda being spottedriding a fearsome beast. This has many citizens of Hyrule concerned about the Princess, as well as afraid of this fearsome beast. Penn asks you to find out more about it, and with that, the quest begins.

How To Complete The Beast And The Princess
In your conversation with Penn, you will learn that the beast has been spotted somewhere in asouthern, tropical location. If you know anything about the map in Tears of the Kingdom, then you’ll know thatthe southern region of Faron is tropical, so start heading that way.
If you don’t havea Shrine or Tower unlockedalready to travel to, the journey could be long, but it won’t be too difficult. You are aiming to find theLakeside Stable, which can be found along the southern shore, right next toLake Floria.
When you arrive at the Stable, you will want to head inside to the middle counter andspeak with the caretaker of the Stable. He will tell you about a nearbyanimal sanctuarythat has recently opened after the Upheaval, and that should perk your ears a little bit, as it pertains to the story you are chasing.
He also tells you that the sanctuary isright across the ravine from the Stable, so when you’re done speaking with him, head outside and look across the ravine right by you. You should be able to see the sanctuary there, and maybe even a creature that looks a little bit like the description of the beast that people have been describing.
Travel across the ravine (be careful about slipping while climbing) and go tospeak to the woman in charge of the sanctuary, Cima. She will welcome you and introduce you to theDondonnext to you, a new species of creature that was discovered by Princess Zelda not too long ago. She explains that they are incrediblygentle and sweet creatures, as well.
After you finish speaking with her, Penn will fly in andconfirm that the Dondon is most likely the beastthat people have been talking about, and their fear has been blown out of proportion. He will thank you for your help, leave, and the quest will come to an end.
Don’t forget to speak with Kampo near one of the Stable’s entrances to get theOusting the Giants quest, so you can get some good rewards for taking out thenearby Hinox brothers.
