Zack Snyder may not be part of the DC verse anymore, but he has given us some of the best DCEU movies of all time. One of these few movies isJustice League. Although the director had to leave midway during the movie’s production, the project brought one of the most iconic comic book scenes on the big screen.

While the movie failed to reveal who is the winner, it featured a Superman vs. Flash race, an event that has occurred many times in comic books. This one scene has a surprising and special connection to Lex Luthor that would really melt the fans’ hearts.
Superman vs. Flash Race Has A Special Connection To Lex Luthor
The Flash is quite literally the fastest man in the whole of the DC comic universe. Not only can he go anywhere in mere seconds, but Barry Allen has also raced the mightiest DC superhero, Superman countless times in the comic verse. Although Allen has emerged victorious several times (see

Zack Snyder‘sJustice League, thus, featured animpromptu racebetween the two superheroes. Even though it did not address who is the winner between the two, the race seems to have a special connection with one comic book event tied to Lex Luthor.
In the comic,Up In The Skyby Tom King and Andy Kubert, the two superheroes decide to race as part of a charity event, with whoever completes 10 laps around the Earth being deemed as the winner. Although Superman leads, he slows down during the third lap, leading to Lex Luthor declaring that if the last son of Krypton wins, he will donate $1 billion to charity.

Hearing Luthor with his superhearing powers, Superman somehow catches up even though he is extremely tired and ends up winning the race. While Luthor is forced to donate the money and ends up losing, the race seems to settle the question of who is the fastest: Superman or the Flash.

Who is Faster: Superman or The Flash?

InFlash: Rebirth, Allen is unable to properly control the dangerous lightning within himself and is almost on the edge of becoming the Black Flash. After breaking from Hal Jordan’s containment field, Allen rushes toward the Speed Force, hoping to siphon the energy away and sacrifice himself.
Superman, however, catches up to him, trying to make him change his mind and work to find another way to save him. The Kryptonian even states that he won’t let Flash go and can keep up with him since he has already won quite a few of their races.

“I’ve raced you before, Barry. I even won some of those races.”
Ironically, Allen’s answer strucks Superman like a lightning bolt as he states,

“Those were for charity, Clark.”
And so it settles the debate that even though Superman is among the most powerful superheroes in the whole wide world of DC, he can not defeat the Flash while on Earth (seeYouTube).

Justice Leaguecan be streamed on Max.
