It’s been three years since Goichi Suda, more popularly known as Suda 51, releasedNo More Heroes 3,but we should be hearing more about what Suda 51’s studio, Grasshopper Manufacture, has been cooking up in 2025.
Suda confirmed this in a year-end feature by Japanese gaming site4Gamer(viaGematsu), in which over 160 developers were asked for their plans for 2025. Suda 51 said, “I’ll announce a new title. Err, maybe. For sure.” There are no ifs, and or buts about it; that’s outright confirmation that an announcement is on the way in 2025. However, we don’t know just when that’ll happen.

Suda 51’s Past Body Of Work Has Been Very Varied
While Suda 51’s last game released was the action-adventure game No More Heroes 3, we can’t say that his subsequent work will be in the same genre. Suda has been a bit eclectic in his game development work, with his past releases ranging from a shoot-‘em-up in Sine Moira, to even acting as a Scenario Writer in Fire Pro Wrestling World.
Suda even worked on the horror franchise Fatal Frame to design, co-direct, and co-write Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, initially released in 2008 and re-released in March 2023 on current-gen consoles.
Possibly Suda 51’s most famous works outside No More Heroes areKiller7and Lollipop Chainsaw. While there hasn’t been any word on a Killer7 sequel, Lollipop Chainsaw did get a remake titled Lollipop Chainsaw RePop by Dragami Games, and was released on consoles and PC in September of this year without any involvement from Suda whatsoever.
