According toSteamDB,Steamhas set a new record of over 10 million in-game active users, and an all-time concurrent user number of 33 million, two more million since last November.
A big reason for this sharp rise in player numbers is bound to be theSteam Deck, Valve’s magical answer to console and portable gaming. The console hasshipped more than a million unitsin the span of eight months since its release in February 2022, even thought it was only available by reservation. The number of users has probably only risen since then thanks to Valveremoving the reservation requirementlast October, as well as startingshipments to Asian countriesnot too long ago.
