Sam Coe, a constellation member, will accompany players during this mission. He can be recruited as a crew member for your ship during this mission. The mission starts right after you end The Old Neighborhood in The Lodge, the HQ of Constellation in New Atlantis of Jemison in Alpha Centauri Systems.

The Empty Nest Mission Walkthrough

For The Empty Nest mission, the players must travel toAkila City. The mission can be started from the lodge by talking with Sam Coe. You will find Sam on the balcony of the Constellation meeting room. He will be there talking with his daughter, and both of them will be flying to Akila with you.

Travel To Akila City

The Akila City is in the Cheyenne space system, far from your location, Alpha Centauri. You will have to perform two grav jumps to reach the system. First, jump to Olympus; from there, you can jump to Cheyenne. Upon approaching Akila, your ship will be scanned for any kind of Contraband. If you pass the scan, you can land in Akila. Choose Akila City as your landing site, and land on the planet.

After landing, go and talk with Sam once again. Choose“Understood. Let’s get going.”to proceed with the mission and lock Sam as your active companion. Sam will introduce himself to you, revealing his family’s identity as the first man of Akila. His forefather might have seen something like the Artifact. you’re able to ask Sam more about his family’s history and ancestors during this conversation. However, Sam doesn’t like talking much about his family, especially his father.

Job Gone Wrong Side Mission

Next, you will have to visit the GalBank Vault. Upon trying to enter the bank, the security will tell you there’s some trouble in the GalBank. Choose“If people are in danger, then I want to help”during your dialogue with the security. Sam Coe will like this approach since he likes people who help needy people. This will trigger a side mission called Job Gone Wrong. You will have to complete it before heading inside the vault. Head inside and talk with Marshal Daniel Blake, who can be found just at the bank’s gate.

Offer him your help. He will refuse at first but keep insisting till he accepts. Tell him you may talk with the Shaw Gang holding the people inside the bank hostage. You will now have to Persuade the bank robbers to surrender.

How To Persuade The Bank Robber Leader

There’s no fixed choice of dialogue to persuade the leader. You will have to play it smart to persuade him to surrender.

Here is the dialogue we chose to make them surrender:

This should be an easy persuasion. After that, you will have some more dialogues with him. Choose:

The second persuasion can be tricky as you must get eight persuasion points in three tries. If you fail, talk with the Marshal and plan how to get inside the Bank. Take the key from the Marshal. You can then ask the hostage to enter from the front or sneak behind the bank. The safe option is to sneak behind and take on the Shaw gang. You will have to take down the six gang members inside the Bank. Once they have been dealt with, you will get 3,000 credits from the Marshal.

Find The Maps

After you have dealt with the Bank Robber Leader, head inside the Galbank Vault and enter the bank’s storage area down the stairs. Take a keycard from Sam, and then you will have to find a Note for Sam in the lockers. After that, talk with Sam; he will tell you about Jacob. You can attempt to Persuade Sam to tell him who Jacob is. If you are successful, Sam will reveal that Jacob is his dad, but they are not on friendly terms anymore.

You will then have to talk to Jacob to get the maps. Follow the marker to find Jacob Coe. Choosing Sam Coe’s dialogue to let him speak for you with Jacob will increase Sam’s liking for you. After the conversation is finished, you will get three ways to get the map:

Ask Cora For Help

Head back to your ship to find Cora. Ask her to help you to get around the map. If Cora asks for the Map, Jacob will give you the map easily without any resistance. However, choosing this option will upset Sam Coe.

Talk To Jacob And Have Sam Distract Him

If you ask Sam to talk with Jacob, he will keep him busy. This can be done by choosing the“[Distraction] Sam wanted to talk to you about something. Tell him, Sam”dialogue. During this time, you’re able to lockpick his office door and take the map yourself. The lockpicking will be pretty easy, but you will need some digipicks.

Talk To Jacob And Persuade Him

The final option is to Persuade Jacob to give him the map, which can be done by picking“[Persuade] Be reasonable. We need those maps, Jacob.”This will be another easy persuasion as you only need four persuasion scores. Here’s how we persuaded Jacob to give us the map.

Once you have the map, visit the Empty Nest to get the artifact. Fast travel to Empty Nest.

Visit Empty Nest

Some enemy guards will guard the Empty Nest. Take them out and head inside. If you have decided to kill the bank robbers earlier, they will put up resistance against you. After taking down the first wave of enemies, proceed towards the cave, where you must fight some more enemies. Proceed towards the end of the cave until you find the Artifact, and take it.

Deal With Shaw

While trying to leave the cave with the artifact, you will meet Shaw, the gang’s leader. You can either Persuade her or pay her 4,000 credits to let you out of there. Here are the persuasion choices we picked to Persuade Shaw:

After persuading or paying Shaw, you will get the optional task of helping Shaw with the Ashtas. This ends The Empty Nest mission.
