Starfield’s galaxy is full of hundreds of planets for players to visit, with the orbit around each planet also being open space for players to fly around in, engaging in ship combat or farming resources from asteroids. Players may also come across various space stations, each usually being worth a visit.
Players will always find themselves on board their ship traveling through space, with space stations being great reasons to get out and explore. With there being many Space Stations to see, it’s important for players to know how to dock with them, as there will also be a prominent space station within the main story.

How To Dock With Space Stations
Just likeenemy ships with disabled engines,players are able todock at any space station they find in the galaxy.To dock at a space station, players will need toapproach the station and lock onto it pressing E on PC and A on Controller.Once locked on,continue to approach the station and get within 500 metersof the station.
Oncewithin 500 meters, players will receive the Dock optionin the lock-on menu, letting players dock byholding R on PC and holding X on Controller.After the short scene of the ship docking plays out, the player will beable to undock and fly away or enter the Space Station.

How To Change Docking Controls
If players want to switch how they dock with a space station in their game, head to themain menu and select Settings. From there,select Binding and scroll down to the ship action options. The two options that can be changed to affect the docking process, the"Select Target" will bind a new option for locking on;with the"Ship Action 1" option deciding what button is used to dock.
