Sanctum Universal

Unlike the Enlightened, the Sanctum Universalbelieves in the existence of Godand that God is somewhere within the universe. People who follow this faith also believe that the invention of theGrav Jumpwas a gift from God and it ishumanity’s destiny to explore the vast universein search of God. Sanctum Universal is a newly formed religion with its headquarters also located in New Atlantis.

The religion is led by a high priest, who also serves as a spiritual teacher for the members of the faith. Members of this faith alsoengage in various rituals and ceremonies to help connect with God. Just like the Enlightened Faith, Sanctum Universalemphasizes tolerance towards other religionsand welcomes everyone regardless of their race, creed, or faith. You choose to assign the Sanctum Universal religion to your character during character creation.

House Va’ruun

The Great Serpent is a deity in Starfield that isworshiped by a cultcalled House Va’ruun. Members of this cult believe in theexistence of a Giant Serpentwithin the void. They also believe that the Giant Serpent is powerful enough towarp the fabric of space and time. Unlike the Enlightened and Sanctum Universal, the House Va’ruuncarried out acts of violencein hopes of connecting with the Giant Serpent.

The members of this cult believe that eventually, theGiant Serpent will destroy the universe,and the only to save oneself from this impending doom is to diligently worship the serpent. The members also abuse drugs and alcohol as an apparent means of connecting with the Giant Serpent. you’re able to choose to assign the House Va’ruun faith during the character creation.

Serpent’s Embrace Trait Fun Fact: Opening the Serpent’s Embrace chest also provides you with a temporary boost to yourhealthand endurance if you Grav Jump within four hours of landing a planet.
