Spawn of Oggdo, the legendary beast thatStar Wars Jedi: Survivorplayers may encounter on the planet Koboh, has been a source of frustration ever since the game’s debut, but one player has pulled off a one-hit-kill on the big frog boss. That is, theplayeronly had to hit it one time.

Posted on Reddit, the player shows off a strategy that utilizes the existing enemies of the map and turns them against each other. If you haven’t taken on the Spawn of Oggdo on Koboh, that’s all right. It’s a completely optional encounter, and a throwback to the boss Oggdo Bogdo from the previous entry in the series,Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. But unlike its namesake, a lot of players have found the boss to be enraging difficult, citing wonky hit boxes, unpredictable attack patterns, and an attack that kills instantly. Whilethe Rancorhas caused a lot of headaches, Spawn of Oggdo seems to reign supreme as Jedi: Survivor’s most exasperating boss.

The difficulty of the challenge presented by Spawn of Oggdo has even forced some hardcore players to lower the difficulty on their playthroughs, albeit temporarily in some cases. “I put the difficulty from master to story mode and I am not ashamed in the least,” commented Reddit user MysticalTurtle716, adding later “On every other boss fight I stick through, but not on frog, never on frog”.

The boss battle takes place after the player falls through a mechanical trap door, just after encountering a small group of battle droids armed with blasters and a couple of other melee-focussed enemies who leap down from a ledge. The battle can be particularly frustrating, because while the big frog’s tongue attack can wipe out a player in a single hit, any enemies that fall into Spawn of Oggdo’s domain will continue to attack the player at the same time.

However, in the video he posted to Reddit, user Gray-Turtle strategically turns these enemies against each other, wiping out the weaker ones before triggering the trap door and dropping the other two into the pit, where they bash at the boss with heavy attacks until they fall, leaving just a sliver of health bar left on Spawn of Oggdo. With the odds turned in their favor, Gray-Turtle promptly jumps into the pit, and after the two combatants dodge each other a few time, takes the big beast out with a single swing of their dual lightsabers.

Of course, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor also includes a boss battle in which the player encounter two of the massive and questionably unfair frog beasts simultaneously — the original and the spawn — so we’ll have to wait and see what unconventional tactics players come up with to tackle them both at once. Said Reddit user RealEdwardNigma, “Fighting two of these things? It’s possibly the worst experience I’ve had gaming”.
