Back in April, Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment revealed that its popular MMOStar Trek Onlinewould be receiving even more content based on the CBS All Access showStar Trek: Discoveryin a free update aptly titledStar Trek Online: Rise of Discovery.It finally came to PC today, so Perfect World Entertainment released a launch trailer, went into more detail about the contents of the update, and announced thatStar Trek Online: Rise of Discoveryis coming to PS4 and Xbox One on June 25.

In case you don’t remember or haven’t heard ofStar Trek Online: Rise of Discovery, it mainly features Captain Gabriel Lorca and Commander Ellen Landry fromStar Trek: Discovery.Both of the characters are voiced by their respective actors Jason Issacs and Rekha Sharma. Players meet them in two new missions titledThe Plausibility of the PossibleandImpossibility of Reason. The Plausibility of the Possiblehas players help the U.S.S. Buran fight off Klingon forces, whileImpossibility of Reasonhas players save Gabriel Lorca after he is stranded on a frozen ice moon.

As forStar Trek Online: Rise of Discovery’sother content, longtime players will be pleased to hear about the Tier 6 Reputation of Discovery Legends, which hasStar Trek: Discoverythemed rewards and lets players go through Discovery Task Force Operations in Advanced and Elite versions. Level restrictions have also been removed from Tier 6 starships, so players can fly premium ships that also scale to their level. This last feature has been implemented into the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game even though they won’t be gettingRise of Discoveryuntil June 25.
