Pickpocketing is a unique Specialty in that it needs the Specialty unlocked with the right skills along with a specific item. To unlock and level up the Specialty, players will need toinvest SPinto both the Courage and Poker face skills,with theoverall Pickpocketing skill being the mean of these two skills.
Before players can begin Pickpocketing, they willalso need a pair of Thieves Gloves.These are a Key item that will need to be purchased at a general goods store in any of the listed cities:Harley, Hilton, Lingua, Cintropolis, and Armlock.No matter where they are purchased, these gloves willcost 40,000 Fol, and only one pair will ever be needed.

How To Pickpocket & Its Risks
After unlocking the Pickpocketing Specialty and owning Thief Gloves,go to it in the Specialty menu and set its status to “on.“Now,any NPC that is approached can be either talked to or Pickpocketedusing the prompts on screen. There will be multiple items, each with anincreasingly higher percentage of difficulty depending on the rarity of the itembeing taken.
If players fail to Pickpocket an item, the NPC will not react, but can’t be Pickpocketed again. Players canuse a Relax Perfume on that NPC to reset their status and try to Pickpocket them again if they wish.Also, upon Pickpocketing an NPC, therelationship between that character and all others will be negatively affected,serving as the true punishment for the crime of stealing. Beyond that, there is no law, and the character won’t get in trouble, soaltering the character’sFriendship Ratingafter Pickpocketing can make up for the damage.
