The base premise of Sports Story, as the development team stated, is not just about sporting activities, even though it serves as a sequel to Golf Story. In addition to featuring various sports and daily activities such as tennis, soccer, fishing, cricket, and volleyball, Sports Story introduces a ton of new characters that players will meet along the way. Players will take eight unique golf courses on their rise through the ranks and can also build their soccer team to take part in tournaments.

Apart from a mix of sports, players will explore dungeons, abandoned ruins, and Wildlands to uncover secrets. They will have to raise their Sporting Rank to unlock new sports and activities, including BMX and mini-golf. Moreover, players can build a new life for themselves by focusing on daily activities. It is up to you to make new friends or enemies, take on quests, or prove your sports prowess on the field. Featuring tons of life-sim aspects, Sports Story will take players on a new adventure through infested buildings.

The multiplayer sports RPG with alternate life sim elements such as building a relationship with NPCs and exploring new areas will launch exclusively on the Nintendo Switch next month. There is no concrete release date for the game yet, however, Sidebar Games will provide further information soon.
