Using Stealth

Using Stealth is one of the best ways to ensure that you are not overpowered by any enemies as you fight. This will allow you to take them on one at a time and strategize the best way to make it through open areas. Thankfully, there are a ton of different aspects to using stealth that you can utilize to your advantage. Here is a breakdown of how to use each of those aspects.

How To Web Hang

Web Hanging is where you may slowly descend from the ceiling of an area and attack an enemy that way. This lets you select a certain enemy and slowly lower yourself down until you reach them and take them out. In order to do this, you just need to climb onto a ceiling and hit L2.You can then use the joystick to move around as you see fit.

Spider-Man 2: Should You Play Fidelity Or Performance Mode?

Is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 best played with higher graphics or higher frame rate? Here’s a breakdown of which mode you should be playing in.

How To Take Out Enemies

If you want to do a takedown of an enemy, you will need to hit square. This will cause Spider-Man to shoot webs at the targeted enemy, bringing them to wherever you are. Then, he will cover them in webs and stick them to a nearby surface. This type of stealth attack can be done on a number of different surfaces. You can either stick them to lamp posts or perches that you are sitting on, stick them to the ceiling, or stick them to a wall.Another way you can take out enemies is by performing a Web-Strike, which is done by pressing triangle. This is where you will propel yourself at an enemy and physically hit them.Make sure no one else is around, or you may just blow your cover.

Anytime that you are performing a stealth takedown, make sure that the box beside the enemy says “safe.” If it says “Danger,” then that means that if you perform a takedown, other enemies will see you.

How To Distract Enemies

Distracting enemies can be key to ensuring that you are not spotted when you are trying to be stealthy. If you put the cursor over an item and hit R1, Spider-Man will shoot a quick web at the object. When enemies hear this, they will go to investigate. This will either cause them to separate from others, allowing you to take them down, or it will cause them to leave others behind, making those left behind easy targets.

How To Use Web Lines

Web Lines are an interesting addition to the stealth gameplay that allows Spider-Man to ensure that he remains undetected. These are webs that you can shoot from a perch to a physical object to create a web line that you can walk across. In order to do this, you need to hold L2 and aim at the area that you want to attach the web to and then hit triangle. You can create them by targeting buildings, walls, or even pipes that are hanging around an area. Once you have created one, you can simply walk across them and continue your stealthy mission.
