The major update forWarhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2has been dated by Saber Interactive, and it’s due for release on June 26 on all platforms. This brings a new mode for free, alongside new cosmetic items.

Space Marine 2’s Siege Mode Will Have You Fighting Against Impossible Odds
The new Siege mode will feature a new PvE (Player vs. Environment) experience for free on June 26. This will be set on Kadaku, and will have three players squad up to take down waves of Tyranid and Chaos forces.
Prepare to stand your ground and survive as long as you can against an endless wave of enemies.
For those on PC, the mode will be playable on the Public Test Server (PTS) starting June 4. More details about this will be revealed at a later date.
This mode will be part of Patch 8, which will also introduce new content for those who own the Ultra Edition, Gold Edition or Season Pass holders. The new content expected to be released include:

Space Marine 2’s Patch 7 “Trygon Update” is due for release in mid-April, bringing a new map, new skins and more.
The new content should include your usual dose of balance changes, bug fixes and various improvements as part of the latest major patch.
The Siege Mode update for Space Marine 2, follows theTrygon patchreleased last month that adds a new monster and more all for free to all owners of the game regardless of which version you own.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 was one of the surprise releases of last year, as it managed to surpass expectations. OnOpen Critic, the game managed to achieve a “Strong” rating from 160 reviewers, which is no easy feat to pull off.
Saber Interactive has previously promised to support the game with free content updates, and won’t lock any gameplay features or content behind a paywall.
