Sons Of The Forestwill be released in early access on February 23 via Steam. There will be no console edition at launch, but the original did release for PlayStation 4 shortly after its launch in 2018. Fans can expect Sons Of The Forest to be released on Steam at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET/5 PM UTC/6 PM CET.

As Sons Of The Forest is not available for pre-order, the Steam store page is yet to reveal a price for the upcoming survival horror game. The developers have, however, confirmed that they will not increase the price once the game exits the early access phase. This means players will not receive any bonus or discount for purchasing the game before the full launch. This includes in-game bonuses as well. Since the game doesn’t offer any higher-tier editions, all players will get the same experience.

According to the game’s Steam page,Endnight Gamesexpects Sons of the Forest to remain in the early access phase for 6 to 8 months, but it is subject to change. The early access version will be fully playable in both single-player and 8-player co-op modes. The core gameplay mechanics such as the new building system, crafting, explorations, and even the story will be available in the early access version.

Of course, the story of the game should be discovered by players similar toThe Forest, but you can rest assured that your explorations in caves and other eerie locations of Sons of the Forest will be rewarded with story pieces in the end.

During the early access phase, Endnight Games plans to fix the bugs, improve the overall performance, add new items that can be 3D-printed, and expand the lore of the game. So, you can expect the story to become even bigger when the game fully launches.

It took Endnight Games nearly 4 years to release the full version of The Forest on Steam, which then arrived on PlayStation 4 several months later. So, it remains unknown what is the current stage of Sons of the Forest, and how long it would take the developers to deliver the best possible version of the game.
