However, the second season has been trying to embed the comedic aspect from the original manhwa, and they are slowly getting successful. The complaints with the first season ofSolo Leveling

The first season ofSolo Levelingwas great in almost every aspect, which led to it becoming one of the most popular anime series of 2024. From narrative portrayal to animation quality, A-1 Pictures made sure that they did justice to one of the greatest manhwa stories of all time. But they lacked one major element, which led to the criticism of the series.

This element was the removal of the comedic moments from the story. AsSolo Levelingis a violent and action-filled story,Chugongtried to balance it by adding some humorous moments that would make the story a little more enticing and amusing for fans. However, for some reason, the anime decided to cut off those comedic momentscompletely from the story.

Thus, while the anime managed to gain appreciation from fans, the hardcore manhwa fans were not at all happy with the creators’ decision. Without the humor and comedic moments, the story remained one step away from being the perfect adaptation of theSolo Levelingmanhwa.

Solo LevelingSeason 2 is fixing Season 1’s mistakes

The mistakes ofSolo LevelingSeason 1 were noticed and criticized a lot by fans, and it looks like the criticism reached the creators of the series. This is because they might be trying to mend those mistakes by including some small comedic moments in the series, and it has started with the first episode ofSolo Levelingseason 2itself.

In the first episode, when Jinwoo goes on a solo mission to take down the Ice Bears and their leader in the dungeon, he calls upon Igris, the first major shadow that Sung Jinwoo extracted.

As Igris goes on to defeat the Ice Bear leader, Jinwoo is seen getting a little “impressed” by Igris’ way of fighting. This was a humorous moment in fact, that Sung Jinwoo literally defeated him when he did not even awaken his full strength.

And while it is a very short moment, it still adds a little comedic aspect to the serious battle. Thus, it is safe to say that A-1 Pictures might be trying to make sure that they don’t repeat the same mistakes as they did inSolo LevelingSeason 1 and help the second season become even more popular.

Solo Levelingis available to watch on Crunchyroll.
