The second battle of Fallujah was the bloodiest battle of the Iraq War, andSix Days in Fallujahcaptures the atmosphere perfectly.

Every time you prepare to join a mission with your buddies, you know the other end of that loading screen will have a lot of bullets coming your way.

Six Days in Fallujah Fire Team

It is a strong reminder thatyour class selection will determine whether your team leaves the mission at the back of the AAV, or in body bags.

This list ranks the classes in a USMC fire team and explains what each of you should (andshould not) be doing whenthings go downin Fallujah.

Take a deep breath, absorb as much as you’re able to, and if you freeze up, blind fire down that corner.

Rifleman/Scout

As theteam’s scout, your job is to poke your head through the door first. This is an ungrateful job on account of Fallujah’s homes having a ton of guns aimed precisely at that doorway to ward off any unwelcome guests.

Playingthe Ready class requires nerves of steel and great communication, as your team leader (and by association the rest of the fire team) will base their next move on what you call out.

Six Days In Fallujah: How To Command Your Team

How to make sure the enemy dies, and your team does not.

When on the move, you are responsible for sweeping the front hemisphere of your formation, much like the Assist is responsible for the rear.

If you are good at playing Ready, your team lead will never have to head in first to get information, which keeps them alive for longer and helps unit cohesion.

Your M16A4 has an ACOG optic on the carry handle, which gives you some flexibility when trying totouch a targetfurther out.

Team Leader

The team lead role is the most challenging since the fate of the operation and your teammates falls on your shoulders.

In the hands of a competent player, this kit guarantees victory. If you are feeling shakey when leading, things fall apart fast in Fallujah.

Your loadout is the most flexible, with an M16A4 assault rifle, an ACOG optic, and the trusty old M203 40mm under-barrel grenade launcher.

The ACOG is great for hitting faraway targets, and you can also use it to scout the road ahead.

The M203 is perfect for catching large groups of enemies in the open, but it also excels at suppressing buildings. One 40mm round through the window and suddenly everyone is nice to you.

In single-player mode, the squad leader also gets a helping of M67 frag grenades to compensate for your AI teammates' hesitation to use theirs.

Automatic Rifleman

How good are you at hitting targets from a moving Humvee? Don’t answer that.

During the Vietnam War, the US military began swapping the 7.62x51mm cartridge for 5.56x45mm as the bread and butter of infantry weapons.

The experience in the jungle taught the world thatsustained fire wins fights, and lighter rounds mean you’re able to carry more of them. The M249 SAW takes that to the extreme.

STALKER 2: 15 Best Beginner’s Tips

tips that can help both rookies coming from the Lesser Zone and veterans pouring in from the Cordon.

The ammo box lets you put down suppressive fire all day long. The ability to keep a whole building pinned down all by yourself while your team maneuvers is the greatest power trip inSix Days in Fallujah.

The short barrel makes the SAW extremely comfortable indoors. The only downside is that you do not get a flashlight so you are relying on your buddies or your sidearm to light the way for you.

Unlike the M16A4 your buddies carry, your machine gun also has much loader reload times, so keep that in mind.

Assistant Automatic Rifleman

The Assistant Automatic Rifleman (Assist) is nominally there tosupportthe Automatic Rifleman (Fire) by spotting targets and carrying extra ammo.

In the urban combat nightmare that is Fallujah though, the Assist is the close-quarter combat (CQB) juggernaut. As the fire team moves up, the Assist is tasked with flank and rear security.

This is a tricky job in any situation, but the layout of Fallujah residential areas makes it especially challenging as enemies crawl out of every hole to try and surprise your team.

You enter the fight Rambo-style with an M16A4 assault rifle, a Benelli M4 12-gauge shotgun, and enough grenades to celebrate the 4th of July alone.

The M16A4 with iron sights is more comfortable in close quarters than the ACOG-equipped ones.

Once you take the fight indoors, the Benelli is a one-shot solution to most of your problems. The only downside is the low rate of fire, so if you do miss that opening shot, the enemy will have something to say about it.
