According to Marvel Updates, the upcomingShang-Chi 2will have the Agents of Atlas appear from different time periods and attack Liu’s character. It is also rumored to have Simu Liu use the Ten Rings to time travel.

Screenwriter Dave Callaham mentioned that the teams shot multiple scenes for the first film which hinted at the Rings’ origins (viaInverse). Even the mid-credits scene adds more mystery to the Rings, despite Wong and Captain Marvel having knowledge about it.
