2024 seems to have been a great year for Shift Up, as on January 6th the Stellar Blade developer rewarded its staff with agenerous bonus.
The 311 employees of the South Korean developer were surprised with a bonus of 5 million Won (about$3,500 USD) and aPlayStation 5 Pro, announcedNaver.

The news wasn’t widely publicized, but unsurprisingly, public response has been overwhelmingly positive.
In a year of layoffs and canceled projects, it seems that fans were more than ready to see developers be rewarded for their work.

This late New Year gift was presumably awarded to celebrate the success of the PS5 exclusive Stellar Blade, although the title mightnot remain an exclusivefor long.
According to Shift Up, Stellar Blade has surpassed the1 million copiesmilestone in just a couple of months. Though we don’t have exact data, it’s easy to assume that its success hasn’t stopped there.

2024 is also the year the company went public, withgreat success.
Is Stellar Blade Coming to PC?
Given the success found on Sony’s console, it seems obvious that Stellar Blade will find its way to other platforms, starting with the PC.
Stellar Blade’sPC port is planned for 2025. Though the project has beenscheduled for some time, the company is yet to announce a release date.

Similarly, we still don’t know on which platforms the game will be available on.
Former Sony exclusives like the Kingdom Hearts series and some of Quantic Dreams’ games used to only be on the Epic Game Store when they first released on PC. It’s possible that Stellar Blade will follow a similar path.

Shift Up has recently announced acrossover eventbetween Stellar Blade and their previous title, Goddess of Victory: Nikke.
This is only the third ofStellar Blade’s crossovers, following appearances in aNieR:Automata DLCand, most surprisingly, anAstro Bot cameoas a free update.
But that’s not all for the series: asequel was in considerationas soon as the title was released. Given the game’s success, it’s no surprise that fans expect to hear more about this title soon.
