However, towards the end of her time in the series, many noticed that she would not interact with his character, making many wonder what happened between the two. The answer for the same is quite bizarre.

In 2016, it would seem that an incident between Perrette, Harmon, and his dog led to a serious rift between the two stars of the beloved procedural series. During an interview withThe Hollywood Reporter, the executive producer of the series, Charles Floyd Johnson, revealed the root of their feud, and the answer is quite interesting.

It would seem that Harmon once brought his dog to the set of the series. Unfortunately, this dog ended up biting one of the crew members. This was not a small incident, as the person ended up needing 15 stitches. One would assume that after such a serious incident, the actor would stop bringing his pet to the set.

However, he continued to do so, which resulted in several of the cast members feeling uncomfortable.

Charles Floyd Johnson revealed the fact that Mark Harmon was still bringing his dog to the set ofNCISwas making many of his cast members uncomfortable. The one that this was affecting the most seemed to be Pauley Perrette, who was a very passionate member of the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

In Pauley Perrette’s case, there was an incident with the show with a dog. The dog was Mark Harmon’s, and apparently the dog bit someone. Pauley was a huge, huge SPCA [Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals] animal person. And then the dog kept coming with Harmon, and she felt it wasn’t safe for the show,

Due to this, she decided to approach the actor and talk to him about bringing his dog to the set. Although one can imagine that this was all in good faith, Harmon did not seem to like this, which resulted in serious tension between the two actors.

So much so, that the series started to work around their feud. During an interview withTheWrap,a source close to the situation revealed that the writers were specifically writing their characters away from each other so that they would not have to be in the same scenes.

She did her scenes on one day, and he did his work on other days, and they still produced a great show. It was simply scheduled that they did not work the same days.
