While boating in Ontario on Lake Joseph, Kevin O’Leary and his wife Linda O’Leary had a pretty nasty collision with another boat that was parked. Unfortunately, the incident left the two people on the other boat… dead.
It was the night of 23 August 2025 when O’Leary and his wife were boating on Lake Joseph in Ontario. Linda O’Leary crashed into a parked boat of his neighbors’. Unfortunately, there were two souls on board who lost their lives due to the collision. The matter was taken to court and O’Leary was called to testify.
According to a report by theNational Post, O’Leary defended the whole situation by stating that the parked boat was not visible at all. The Canadian businessman said that nobody would willingly drive into a boat that they could see.
We didn’t see anything. There wasn’t anything there. It was like complete darkness because at that point we were facing into the forest, where there are no lights, there are no cottages. No silhouette or anything. There wasn’t a pixel of light coming off that boat. It was like it had a shroud on it or something.
He continued,
The bow [of the boat] got there first. Nobody drives into a boat they can see.
In the end, his wife Linda O’Leary was deemed not guilty of driving the boat irresponsibly and the case was dismissed. It might be true that O’Leary’s worst fears might have come true from riding that boat on Lake Joseph on that fateful night.
