Capcom together withDengeki Onlineheld on July 20 a special stream for the 15th anniversary of theSengoku Basaraseries, featuring series producer Tsuyoshi Inaba, Kazuya Nakai (who voices Date Masamune), and Soichiro Hoshi (Sanada Yukimura). Nishikawa Takanori (T.M. Revolution) also joined them at some point. The stream started with the staff and cast looking back on all the games, anime, stage plays, and collabsSengoku Basarareceived over the years. Kazuya Nakai and Soichiro Hoshi dubbed live multiple iconic scenes from the series between Date Masamune and Sanada Yukimura. It was a real treat to watch and hear if you’re into seiyuu.

One interesting anecdote they brought up is how the seiyuu all recorded together for the anime adaptations. That’s something that didn’t happen that much back, much less nowadays. A short part of the stream also focused on the mobile gameSengoku Basara Battle Party.
The stream’s final corner announced various goods, events and collaborations for the 15th anniversary.

The capcom café in Ikebukuro will start a newSengoku Basaracollab.
A new manga adaptation will be starting in Winter 2020.
A new OST album will be released on August 22, 2025.
Collab goods with SuperGroupies were announced: sneakers and umbrellas.

One interesting part of the stream was near the ending, where Takanori Nishikawa stressed out the series is pretty popular outside Japan. Since people who don’t live in Japan even in this age still love katana and samurai. Producer Tsuyoshi Inaba also said he’d like to do more events outside Japan and how they’re not forgetting the series' fans over there.
Ending the stream, Producer Tsuyoshi Inaba asked everyone to keep supporting the series and that things aren’t over yet. We should be patient and wait for future news. Meanwhile, reminder there’s theanniversary edition ofSengoku Basara 4 Sumeragicoming to PS4 in Japan on July 21, the actual anniversary date of the series.
Sengoku Basarais incredibly popular in Japan and most notably has a huge female fanbase. It’s pretty popular with people who like BL undertones in general. It’s also famous for being over-the-top and tongue-in-cheek.
